Bucktown

With borders that are often confused with Wicker Park's, Bucktown is a neighborhood filled with character and art. It lies just to the north of Wicker Park, between North and Fullerton avenues, and from the Kennedy Expressway (routes 90/94) west to Western.

East Village

East Village got its start as an Eastern European community. Its desirable location is just 10 minutes from the Loop, a few blocks from the hip Wicker Park neighborhood, and just East of Ukrainian Village. Like much of the area, East Village neighborhood has been reborn, thanks to urban pioneers, artists and entrepreneurs who were attracted by lower real estate prices. Today, there still are some opportunities to find affordable properties.

Edgewater

Edgewater is a sprawling area with almost suburban amenities, such as wider streets, spacious yards and friendly neighbors. It is bounded by Lake Michigan, Foster, Ravenswood and Devon. Andersonville and Edgewater Glen part of Edgewater Neighborhood.

Gold Coast

Generally considered to be part of downtown Chicago, the Gold Coast is just steps away from Lake Michigan and the Loop, making it one of the most expensive and exclusive areas in Chicago. Streeterville (the area east of the Magnificent Mile) is a smaller neighborhood in the Gold Coast.

Humboldt Park

Due west of Chicago’s Loop is Humboldt Park. This is a Chicago neighborhood that is benefiting tremendously from the gentrification of the areas near the city’s center. People who are tired of the soaring prices of city real estate are taking up residence in its much more affordable homes and buildings.

Lakeview

Lakeview is one of the city's most livable and walk able areas. It is home to many smaller neighborhoods, including Lakeshore East, West Lakeview, Roscoe Village, Graceland West, Southeast Ravenswood, Belmont Harbor and Wrigleyville, home of the Chicago Cubs. Lakeview neighborhood residents enjoy the charm and beauty of tree-lined streets and Lake Michigan, just minutes from the bustle of downtown Chicago, a short commute on Lake Shore Drive.

Lincoln Park

Pocket neighborhoods within Lincoln Park include Clybourn Corridor, DePaul, Old Town, Lincoln Park West, Ranch Triangle, Sheffield, West DePaul and Wrightwood. Just a quick drive or commute to Chicago's downtown, Lincoln Park neighborhood residents enjoy a lively cultural scene, exceptional architecture, lovely gardens and of course, the 1,200-acre park.

Lincoln Square

Northwest of Lakeview lies Lincoln Square, a small group of neighborhoods offering tree-lined streets, large parks, and its own rapid-transit system that goes to the Loop and other areas in the city. Pocket neighborhoods include Ravenswood Gardens, Ravenswood Manor, Budlong Woods and Bowmanville.

Logan Square

Logan Square neighborhood is just west of the Kennedy Expressway (Routes 90/94). Kimball, Fullerton and Diversey avenues are its main thoroughfares. The actual Square is a picturesque traffic circle at Kedzie and Logan Boulevard, with a small hill and elegant marble column. Recently, vintage lighting fixtures have been installed along the Boulevard to enhance its historic character. Includes Palmer Square as well.

Loop

The Loop is "downtown" and the heart of Chicago's bustling business district. It gets its name from the CTA's elevated tracks that loop the area and provide unparalleled transportation to the rest of the city and the suburbs. In the last few years, its residential opportunities have grown tremendously as city dwellers seek to live, work and play in close proximity.

North Center

North Center neighborhood is a large community with many comfortable and convenient neighborhoods that are just a mile or so from the lakefront and an easy commute to downtown. Surrounded by Diversey, Ravenswood, Montrose and the Chicago River, the neighborhoods in North Center tend to have large parks and tree-lined streets, plus all the amenities that make city life satisfying.

Old Town

In the Near North community, immediately north of the Chicago's downtown, is an historic area of quiet tree-lined residential streets.

River North

Immediately north of Chicago's downtown (the Loop), River North neighborhood is seeing an exciting growth in residential development, galleries, boutiques and design studios.

River West

On the west bank of the Chicago River's South Branch is the area known as River West neighborhood. It is part of the West Loop community. Bordered by Division, Grand, and the Kennedy Expressway (Routes 90/94), it rubs elbows with trendy Wicker Park and artistic River North.

Rogers Park

A sprawling community in the northernmost section of Chicago, Rogers Park neighborhood is the only Chicago community with direct access to Lake Michigan. In fact, many of its buildings have been constructed right next to the beach and offer spectacular views.

South Loop

The South Loop is an exciting, vibrant, growing area that is setting new standards for Chicago’s urban dwellers. Located immediately south of Chicago’s Loop, it’s a preferred location for those who want to live, work and play in one dynamic area. The South Loop’s pocket neighborhoods include Printer’s Row and Dearborn Park.

St. Bens

In the North Center community, near trendy Roscoe Village neighborhood, is a comfortable, family-oriented neighborhood called St. Ben’s. Named after St. Benedict’s parish, it’s a popular, well-established community with a highly rated elementary school, stability and affordable prices. All these benefits make St. Ben’s an attractive alternative to the higher prices and density of the lakefront and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

Streeterville

Lying between the most popular beaches of Lake Michgan and the north end of Michigan Avenue, Streeterville neighborhood is one of Chicago’s most cosmopolitan neighborhoods. Part of the Near North and the Gold Coast, it is just steps away from the Magnificent Mile and some of the world’s most fashionable shops, four-star restaurants, museums and theaters.

Ukrainian Village

One of the most distinct areas of Chicago, Ukrainian Village is a unique neighborhood located along Chicago Avenue. Ukrainian Village neighborhood with East Village, Wicker Park, Noble Square, and Eckhart Park, create the community known as West Town.

Uptown

Bordered by Irving Park Road, Foster Avenue, Clark Avenue, and Lake Michigan; Uptown neighborhood is a large community that rubs up against Lakeview and Edgewater. It includes beautiful pocket neighborhoods such as Buena Park, Margate Park and Sheridan Park.

West Loop

From Halsted to Damen, and Madison Street north to Grand Avenue, the West Loop neighborhood is a mix of lofts, galleries, photographers, graphic design firms and wholesale food markets. As this is not originally a residential district, there is an interesting mix of residential and commercial loft space that's architecturally interesting and convenient to the Loop and the near north side.

Wicker Park

An area of exceptional artistry and character, Wicker Park neighborhood has emerged from an artist’s haven into one of the hippest places to live and play in Chicago. With its heart at Damen and Milwaukee avenues, Wicker Park is bound by North and Division, and Ashland and Western avenues.

Wrigleyville

Wrigleyville neighborhood is bordered by Southport, Halsted, Roscoe and Byron, and is home to Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs. Brought to life by die-hard fans every summer, this neighborhood has a vibrant nightlife and hometown spirit.
